Another taste of spring earlier tonight at @caferoutier. A “Pliny’s Tonic” - Gin, muddled cucumber, cane syrup, mint and a chile pepper tincture that I tasted on my lips after each sip.

My first @lobsterlanding lobster roll of the season!!! It’s my favorite destination for a Connecticut-style lobster roll. Here they serve a 1/4 lb steamed 🦞 along with the usual: warm butter and a squeeze of fresh lemon on a grilled hot dog roll. Yes, it’s as good as it looks! And the setting is classic New England.

For dinner tonight, I am LOVING this classic: a fish sandwich with lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. My first of the season at @clamcastle. The haddock is from Ipswich, MA and it’s perfectly crusted and blackened. And, as always the staff at the Clam Castle is so nice, and so helpful. It really makes coming here a pleasure every single time.

A little belated, this was a FABULOUS drink I had last week in Delray Beach, FL at @cut432steakhouse : a “Hemingway G&T” made with Malfy Rosa Gin. I never had @malfygin_us before this- it’s an Italian gin, with a bright grapefruit flavor. Aromas of rhubarb, anise, grapefruit…  a delicious, refreshing summer cocktail. It went down very smoothly, right before the most perfect petite filet mignon.  This is going to be my summer of 2022 cocktail.
